The Mornington Penninsula

Wineries

Create your own mini day winery tour as The Mornington Peninsula is a well-known wine region which creates high-quality wine from about 60 wineries. While most grapes varieties get grown around the area, the fresh and oceanic climate of the Peninsula creates a thriving haven for pinot noir grapes.

Breweries

If you’re more of a beer fan, then there are two breweries which you can head to on a Mornington Peninsula day tour. There is the Red Hill Brewery which is located up in the gorgeous hills of the Peninsula offering views of gum trees and Australian bush where you can peek through and observe the sea in the distance. And your second option is the Mornington Penninsula Brewery located in Mornington which boats a selection of flavoured sour beers for those with bitter taste buds.

Beach Boxes

That’s right, it’s not only Melbourne’s iconic beaches which claim beach boxes, but they also lay along the shores of the Penninsula. Located from Dromana, there are 1,300 of them. They truly make for some memorable photos.

Peninsula Hot Springs

The Penninsula’s hot springs were Victoria’s first natural geothermal springs and spa centre. Here you’ll find natural warm and thermal waters which flow into pools and baths in a stunning location which is perfect for a self rejuvenation session and a splendid place to relax.

Arthurs Seat

Just slightly inland from the coast is Arthurs Seat. And to reach the town, it’s a fun drive around a smooth and winding mountain road doubled with absolutely stunning views. Here you can also stop at the hotel for lunch or head to the Enchanted Adventures Garden which has mazes, a spectacular Japanese garden and beautiful places to relax and unwind.

The Mornington Peninsula has stunning locations on the coast and inland and boasts panoramic views from many different areas of the region. Only an hour from Melbourne it’s an ideal day tour for a group of friends, family or colleagues because there is something in the Peninsula for everyone.
